There’s nothing more refreshing than a glass of homemade watermelon juice. Sweet, vibrant, and hydrating, this drink is perfect for hot summer days, brunches, or anytime you want something light and healthy. What I love about this recipe is how easy it is to customize—you can keep it classic with just watermelon or add a splash of lime and mint for an elevated twist. Best of all, it comes together in just minutes, making it a go-to drink when you want something quick, fresh, and delicious.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2–3

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seedless if possible
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional)
  • 34 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Pinch of salt or sugar (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions

  • Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove seeds if necessary.
  • Place the watermelon in a blender.
  • Add lime juice, mint, and a pinch of salt if desired.
  • Blend until smooth, about 30–60 seconds.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture (optional).
  • Pour into glasses filled with ice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra-refreshing flavor, chill the watermelon before blending.
  • Try adding strawberries, cucumber, or pineapple for variation.
  • If making ahead, store in a glass container and stir before serving.
