Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz agave syrup (or simple syrup)
  • 1 cup ice
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into chunks.
  • Rim your glass with lime juice and dip it in salt or sugar (optional).
  • In a blender, combine the strawberries, lime juice, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup.
  • Add ice and blend until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  • Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses and garnish with a strawberry or lime wedge.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, blend the ingredients longer. If you prefer a chunkier margarita, pulse the blender just a few times. You can adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less agave syrup.
