  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or 1/2 cup sugar + 1/2 cup brown sugar)
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 15 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
  • Optional: chocolate chips or extra Oreos for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter gently, stir in sugar until glossy.
  3. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Sift flour, cocoa, and salt; fold into wet ingredients gently.
  5. Fold in chopped Oreos.
  6. Pour into pan and smooth top; optional: sprinkle extra Oreos on top.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes. Edges set, center slightly soft.
  8. Cool at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or room temperature.
