Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced or chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar (for macerating strawberries)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers or granola (optional)
- Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and slice the strawberries. Toss with lemon juice and a bit of sugar, let sit for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped cream or yogurt gently.
- If using a crust, press crushed graham crackers into the bottom of jars or serving dishes.
- Layer: crust (optional), cream mixture, strawberries. Repeat if desired.
- Chill for at least 1 hour.
- Garnish with fresh mint or whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature cream cheese for the smoothest texture.
- Add lemon zest or liqueur for an elevated flavor twist.
- If prepping ahead, keep strawberries and cream separate until layering.
