Description

Marry Me Chicken is the ultimate weeknight indulgence — a creamy, flavorful dish that feels elegant but comes together quickly. Juicy chicken breasts are simmered in a rich, garlicky sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and Italian herbs. Perfect for a date night or family dinner, it’s a dish that always impresses without being complicated. Serve over pasta, mashed potatoes, or with roasted vegetables to make every bite memorable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the same pan for 30 seconds. Add sun-dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes; cook 1–2 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scrape the pan, then add heavy cream. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over, and simmer 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Pounding chicken evenly ensures juicy meat.
  • Use oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes for richer flavor.
  • Simmer sauce gently to prevent curdling.
  • Fresh herbs and Parmesan at the end elevate flavor and presentation.
