Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 medium tomatillos, peeled and quartered
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 small green chili or jalapeño, chopped

Instructions

  • Peel and rinse the tomatillos; quarter them.
  • Roughly chop the cilantro and garlic.
  • Add mayonnaise, sour cream, tomatillos, ranch dressing mix, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, and chili to a blender.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides if necessary.
  • Taste and adjust lime juice or chili for desired flavor.
  • Chill for 30–60 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • For a vegan option, use plant-based mayonnaise and yogurt.
